Welcome to Sea View House in Doolin.

My husband and I recently spent three days in Doolin. We loved staying at Seaview. Darra was the most helpful, welcoming host who gave us the best places to go with easy directions.
She also makes the best homemade yoghurt. We looked forward to breakfast every morning. Cannot say enough about this place. Just loved our stay in Doolin.

What a great place to stay; rarely do you find a place to stay that offers everything. View, hospitality, great food and a comfortable bed. We used many of the suggestions offered and were treated by sunny visits to the cliffs of Moher, great food at the pub and a beautiful wak on the beach.
We spent two weeks in Ireland and the two night here were the frosting on the cupcake. I can't wait to return, enjoy the fantastic breakfast, sit and enjoy the views and listen to the local stories.

Great stay in Doolin. Darra & Niall were brilliant hosts and made us feel very welcome.
They were more than happy to arrange taxi's for us and tell us where to eat and what to do. Couldn't recommend this place enough, will definitely be back...... and the breakfast is incredible!!

We stayed three nights and found Darra and family to be extremely welcoming and accommodating.
The breakfast was incredible with all items homemade and/or locally sourced. We walked from the door of the B&B to the Cliffs of Moher and beyond as well as managing to make the 100 yard trek to the pub each night! Our stay at Sea View set us up for a wonderful few days in County Clare.

Great place, such a lovely hostess, wonderful home-made breakfast - beautifully presented, great spread, mini-fruit yoghurt and granola shot glasses, we had lovely kippers and gigantic bowl of porridge with baileys. Really comfortable and clean room. Lovely views across the town. Would definitely stay there again. Simples!

What a lovely home. Darra and her family were so welcoming. The breakfast was amazing, and I felt so at home around the table with the other guests. Darra's an amazing cook. Everything fresh and home made ( even the yogurt). She gave us great tips on the local area, which probably saved us some time and made our stay just that much better. Everything was perfect here from the immediate response to my email enquiry re rooms, to the warm welcome, everyone's favourite dog Lucy, to the quick way our room was made up for us while we enjoyed breakfast. I would definately stay there again, in fact we almost didn't want to leave!

The Sea View House accommodations and the hosting by Darra Hughes & family are as enchanting as Doolin itself (and Doolin is extraordinarily enchanting). There are so many aspects to the Sea View experience that make it a unique, home-like experience: chickens pecking in the yard, the pony Peggy grazing in front of the house, Darra's warm, charismatic personality tending to your every need... And then there's the beach at the foot of the Cliffs of Moher on view from every window and just steps from the house. We wanted to pinch ourselves.

We spent two nights at Sea View House as we traveled the west coast of Ireland. It was a wonderful place to stay - warm and friendly with delicious breakfasts - and convenient to everything!! Doolin is such a quaint town - loved the Irish music!!! We would definitely recommend Sea View House and look forward to visiting again when in Doolin.

It's located on the top of a small hill, overlooking Doolin. It's close to the bus stop. The house is clean and beautiful. Rooms are upstairs - they are very spacey, clean and comfortable. Probably the best ones I've seen during my trip. The bathroom was also really good. The host is very friendly, and the breakfast is great. There's just a bunch of rooms: you need to book in advance.

There is a lot to like about this B&B, so I will list a few of the things that really impressed me: - proximity to village. This B&B is situated at the heart of the true Doolin village, and the pub (O'Connor's) is a classic. Only a short walk to and short stumble home from Seaview House. - excellent breakfast......and nothing was a problem.- Niall provided excellent directions and parking advice for Galway. I was really impressed as this made our day trip so much more efficient.

Sea View House is perfectly located and extremely relaxing! Darra is so sweet and makes you feel like you are apart of the family during your stay. She recommended a great pub for dinner, and gave us perfect directions to the Cliffs and the Burren. Staying at Sea View House was one of the best things we did while in Ireland, and Doolin is the cutest town.

For anyone looking for a place to stay in Doolin, I highly recommend Sea View House. Darra, the owner, is so lovely and made us feel very warm and welcomed. Her B&B has the best location in town. Located on a small hill, it has the most beautiful views of the ocean, main street of Doolin, and the rolling countryside. Our first sight of this as we pulled into her parking lot, had us in awe. Darra's breakfast is awesome, room was clean & comfortable, and all for a very reasonable price. Our many thanks to Darra for all her kind attention....we definitely want to come back.

When we arrived we were thanked for calling to let them know we were going to be late. Niall showed us to our room and explained breakfast. He also helped us with our bags to the room. He gave us some ideas on places to have dinner in town. There dog lucy is so cute and lovely! At breakfast we met Darra and she was so lovely. She makes everything on her own! She even makes yogurt. The food was so good. They have chickens and ducks and use their eggs to make breakfasts. Darra asked us what we were doing and gave us tips. She told us how to get the cheapest deal on the ferry and suggested the combo tour to the aran islands and the boat tour to the cliffs of moher.

Darra (and her quieter partner Niall) provided such a wonderful B&B experience. The place itself is so wonderful - they will even sell you chilled wine so you can sit by the fire in the sitting room and plan your next day. Darra is like your mother - in the nicest possible way. She wants to know what your activities will be for the day so she can help you out with setting priorities and how to get there, what to see, etc. The breakfasts are the best and delightfully presented - the usual B&B buffet but with homemade yoghurt. The porridge was my favourite thing on the menu - served with a shot of Bailey's on the side to pour over top. I will be making this at home!!!

We loved our stay in Doolin! It ended up being our favorite location. The room was very clean, and it was the best stocked room we stayed in on our trip. They had a TV and DVD player in the room, tons of Channels to pick from, and they even had DVD's you could barrow from the living room. The hosts were very nice, and helpful. The common sitting room, and entry were beautiful. They had a fire in the evening which was a nice touch on the cold, and windy night. The location was perfect, just up the hill from pubs, and shops.

Amazing location for exploring and beautiful views and gracious hospitality! We enjoyed the delicious meals and wonderful local knowledge and the owners have us excellent advice and tips! Even traveling back to Dublin from Doolin, we took the owners advice for our final day itinerary (visit Doolin Cave, Ailish Cave, and have a late lunch in Galway to be back in time for dinner in Dublin while missing all the traffic) and they were right and their advice made our last day just as memorable as the first! We will be back!

This was our favorite B&B and our favorite town (Doolin) during our 3 week stay in Ireland. Darra made the whole experience so nice. Her warm personality and her expert advice for our traveling The Burren and the Connemara made all the difference (loved the Perfumery!). She made me a duck egg for breakfast! The view of Doolin from Sea View House is amazing. Her recommendation to walk out on the pier was so worth it. Loved her cozy comforter on the bed, and the nice warm fire in the fireplace. Beautiful home. Excellent hostess and family. Our room had an excellent view of DT Doolin, and Doolin is adorable. Stay there!

The location of this b&b could not have been better since we were planning to visit the Cliffs of Moher in the morning. Doolin is a very small town and Sea View House has a great location near O'Connors pub and a few shops. We arrived late and they were able to accommodate us after 5 pm. The rooms were very comfortable and had a great view. Breakfast was great (french toast and cheese plate) and our hosts were very welcoming.

In our two weeks of traveling all over Ireland, this was one of the top two. Darra and Niall go out of their way to make everyone comfortable and happy. The location is excellent, the views are wonderful and the Sea View House mood is perfect.
Communal gourmet breakfast was delicious and gave us an opportunity to meet fellow travelers. Darra and Niall had great advice about where to eat and drink, the music in town and the hiking. Clean and comfortable bedrooms, and the lovely sitting room fireplace had a cozy fire going the whole time we were there.

Darra and Niall are wonderful hosts! We stayed there for two nights during our two week stay in Ireland. We were a party of five women including our eighty two year old mother and four sisters. Darra totally went out of her way to ensure our visit to Doolin was everything we hoped. She was the most helpful and friendliest of all the B&B hosts we encountered. Sea View House is a beautiful home with an amazing view. It's a short walk into Doolin. Great place for staying while visiting the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands, and the Burren. I would definitely recommend staying in their lovely home.

This was a terrific B&B. You cannot beat the location - it overlooks the main street in Doolin with views of the water in the distance.
A great place to spend the night if planning to do a day trip to the Aran Islands or Cliffs of Moher. Darra and Niall are gracious hosts and took the time to help us find reservations in our next town. We told them that we are planning to redo our kitchen and they also took the time to show us around their great kitchen and explain what are the important aspects to keep in mind. You will not be disappointed staying here while in Doolin.!

It's not THE CHEAP B&B house. But it was worth every Euro of it's price!
Darra is very servant and friendly. She will have good and helpful suggestions for your future trip. The breakfast is unbeatable in a familyar and very clean ambiance.
If I will be there a second time it's for sure: Only this house will be my lodging - if there are no vacancies I will postpone my trip.

My immediate family and I have stayed in Sea View House twice now. This time I brought a few relatives along. We were all thrilled with the accommodations and wonderful service Darra provides. Doolin is an exceptional town - great scenery, music and relaxation. The quaint, town is quite small, but it is a wonderful home base to facilitate day trips to the Aran Islands, the Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch, Galway and the Burren. I hope to get back to Doolin one day and I would never consider staying any where but Sea View House.
